Terracotta. "Souvenir affectueux offert à M- le colonel V. de Labonne par Tunis H. Kautsch 1892" inscribed. H 39 cm. 7.35 kg.
Bust of a child with shoulder-length hair, on a plinth with a coat of arms surrounded by flowers. The coat of arms, which is actually yellow in color, is crowned by a count's crown and adorned with an angle, crescent moon and stars. Signs of age and wear, minor cracks, especially on the base and in the hair section.
If this is Heinrich Kautsch (also Henry Kautsch), then: Austrian sculptor and medallist (1859 Prague - 1943 Vienna), studied at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts under professors Stefan Schwartz and Otto König, study trips took him to France, Germany and Italy, in 1882 he received a chair at the School of Arts and Crafts in Prague, in 1889 he moved to Paris, where he worked with Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Louis Auguste Roubaud.
