Marble. inscribed "C. Berra 1885". H 75 cm. 23.10 kg.
On a round base, the standing figure of a woman about to take off or put on her frilly robe. Signs of age and wear, chips to the robe and base.
If it is Cesare Berra, then: Swiss sculptor (1850 St. Petersburg - 1898 Freiburg i. Üe.), studied between 1868 and 1874 under Giovanni Strazza at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, traveled to Nice and St. Petersburg, 1882 studio in Certenago, taught for a while at the Scuola di disegno e plastica in Lugano and was later appointed its director.
