Large Art Nouveau terracotta bust "Dardo d'Amore" (Arrow of Love). Vienna manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider.
Marked GS 7, ca. 1895-1910, with the addition "Reproduction Reservée", ca. 1885-1922. Signed "Ceccarelli" on the side. Model no. 1690 3 70. design: ca. 1899/1899.
Light body, matt glaze in shades of brown, painted in color. H approx. 62.5 cm.
Loving, allegorical depiction of a smiling young woman with a winged child's head emerging from her shoulder (probably a "Venus and Cupid" depiction), inscribed on the round base "Dardo d'Amore. Ceccharelli" (Arrow of Love). Restored, including to the base and the flowers, partially chipped, slight glaze rubbing.
