Patinated bronze, stone-cast base. Signed "Pasch"; casting cannot be dated. H 64.5 cm. 5.85 kg.
Roughly modeled standing nude. Signs of age and wear, slight patina formation (verdigris), scratches.
Clemens Pasch: German sculptor and painter; beginning in 1939, he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf, specializing in sculpture under Joseph Enseling, and subsequently transferred to the Cologne Werkschule; moved to Munich in 1942 and became a master student under Professor Bernhard Bleeker at the Academy of Fine Arts; member of the Rhenish Secession, the New Munich Artists’ Cooperative, the New Darmstadt Secession, the Duisburg Secession, and the Association of Düsseldorf Artists.
