Depiction of the French writer Cyrano de Bergerac (1619–1655) in a standing, battle-ready pose, holding his sword with both hands; wearing a cavalier’s hat and a long coat; on a coffin-shaped pedestal bearing the inscription “Cyrano de Bergerac—Et à la fin de l’envoi je touche”. Cloth and pedestal with chips, partly retouched.
