A series of 5 photographs, likely taken at Haus Doorn, depicting the former German Emperor Wilhelm II (1859–1941) and his second wife, Hermine Reuß (elder line) (1887–1947), likely in the late 1920s or 1930s. The photo series includes a joint portrait of the couple, as well as a solo portrait of the Emperor and 3 photographs of Hermine Reuss in various poses. Each photograph bears an embossed stamp on the front and, on the back, the complete ink stamp of the studio Franz Grainer, Munich, Theatinerstr. 38.
Also included is a photograph of the former Empress Auguste Viktoria (1858–1921), the Emperor’s first wife, in a slightly larger format. This portrait is marked in the lower corners with “Verlag von Gustav Liersch & Co., Berlin S. W.” and “Original photograph by Voigt Homburg v. d. Höhe, Frankfurt a./M.”. Partially slightly wavy with signs of wear, especially at the corners and edges.
