Monogrammed traditional choker.
Probably the second half of the 19th century / early 20th century.
Silver (hallmarked), metal. Width max. 5.8 cm, inner diameter approx. 12.3 cm. 155 g.
Neckband, likely from the Bückeburg wedding traditional costume, featuring a large clasp monogrammed with CSM and set with turquoise cabochons in the corners. The choker and the ribbon decorations to the right and left of the clasp are made of velvet; the choker is additionally embroidered all around with rows of cut steel beads. Signs of age and wear: Distinct signs of oxidation on the clasp; a larger loss on the reverse side (max. approx. 3.4 x 3.9 cm, presumably a sewn-on decorative element); losses on the decorative trims near the buckle.
