Standing figure with a mandolin slung over the shoulder. The title “Mignon” refers to the character of the same name from Goethe’s novel *Wilhelm Meister’s Apprenticeship* (1795/1796). In the novel, Mignon embodies the archetype of a girl who appears boyish yet is erotically alluring. Signs of age and wear; a continuous crack on the right arm; patina slightly worn; patina formation (verdigris) on the base.
