Clear glass and colored glass, partly stained and painted, lead rods. 34 x 30 cm.
Probably from a larger context depicting the standing abbot with church model as well as inscription with date "1549". 1 glass cracked, several repairs with lead rods, some signs of age/use.
Glass painter and painter in Munich, pupil at the Academy ibid, founder of his successful workshop, Royal Court Glass Painter and from 1901 also Court Glass Painter to His Majesty the German Emperor and King of Prussia. In 1917 his son of the same name took over the workshop.
