Crown-wound spring movement, running. Silvered dial with Arabic numerals, minute ring and baton hands, marked "Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso".
Rectangular case with cross-groove design, 3.5 x 2.3 cm. On original brown leather strap with pin buckle, L 22,5 cm. In white Jaeger-LeCoultre box and box. Slight scratches and signs of use, adhesive residue from case with material defects.
The special feature of the REVERSO by Jaeger-LeCoultre is the special sliding and turning mechanism, which allowed the dial to be hidden and instead the caseback to be visible. Designed by Jaeger-LeCoultre in the early 1930s, the Reverso allowed British Army officers, among others, to wear the watch during polo matches in India, as it protected the dial from possible impacts from the polo bats.
