Rare baroque box with Indian decor. Meissen.
Around 1730.
7 x 5.5 x 5.5 cm.
Floral cobalt blue underglaze painting. Square shape with plastic lid crowning. Unglazed base, sword mark, shaper's mark of Paul Wildenstein (1681-1744), Böttger's employee since 1705. Even referred to in the church register as the "oldest porcellain fabricante". One corner of the lid with glazed missing part.
