Large French picture plaque: floral still life.
44.5 x 37 cm, frame: 74 x 66 cm.
Fine colored painting after the painting template of Jan Frans van Dael (1764 Antwerp - 1840 Paris). Signed: Lucile Denois (worked for Sévres 1820-1827), inscribed. Unglazed bottom, unknown crowned fleur-de-lis mark. Wide gilt ornamental frame. Small chip in the body on the back.
Van Dael, still life painter, studied at the Academy in Antwerp. Resident in Paris since 1786. Worked for the court of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and Kings Louis XVIII and Charles X. Since 1793 studio in the Louvre. Works in international museums * Partner auction Bergmann.
