Romantic landscape with the bridge of Augustus at Narni

27 x 40 cm. Framed : 35 x 48 cm.
Of the once four arches of the Roman bridge, about 160 meters long and 30 meters high, only the southernmost arch remains, it was part of the Via Flaminia, the connection of Rome with the Adriatic coast. Owner's note on the back of the canvas: E. Neureuther. Profiled gold frame. Doubled.
