If Anton Braith, then: German painter (1836 Biberach - 1905 ibid.), student of the genre painter Johann Bapt. Pflug in Biberach. 1851 at the art school in Stuttgart. In 1860 Braith moved permanently to Munich. Here initially strongly influenced by Piloty, but limited to animal and landscape motifs. Travels to Venice, Paris (influence of Troyon), London, Rome, Naples, Sicily, northern Germany, Switzerland, but especially Bolzano, where he founded the gallery of the Batzenhäusl with his friend Christian Mali in 1889.
