Sabre with thumb ring.
Probably around 1800.
Blade L 88 cm, total L 103 cm.
Curved, single-edged blade with a broad fuller and another narrow fuller and point in the back. Iron hilt with a multi-pass guard plate from which the quillons, two bows and thumb ring extend. Wooden grip with leather cover and at least eighteen ribs. Straight pommel end with rhombic 'washer' for rivet. Traces of anobia infestation on the grip.
