Cavalry officer's sword.
Saxony.
Blade L 79.5 cm, total L 96 cm.
Straight, double-edged, six-pointed and richly decorated blade. Ricasso with crossed blades and Saxon coat of arms, each surmounted by the elector's hat. Inscribed in the first quarter: "Nec temere nec timide, recte faciendo neminem timeas, tandem bona causa triumphat", as well as a crowned eagle and the monogram "AR". Brass grip with coarse wire winding. Hilt with heart-shaped guard plate, quillons, crossguard and pommel in braided look. Wire winding with repairs.
