Artillery officer's sabre.
Blade marked "Eisenhauer". After 1900, Saxony.
Blade L 77.5 cm, total L 94 cm.
Curved, single-edged blade with fuller and guard. Etched monogram "FAR" with crown and the Saxon coat of arms, the back also decorated. Brass hilt with lion's head and paws. The Saxon coat of arms encircled on the hilt. Crossguard end in the shape of an animal's head. Lobe with silver monogram "FAR" and laurel wreath. Black metal scabbard with a movable ring and square eyelet.
"In this form the officers wore the sabre in the 1st Field Artillery Regiment No. 12 from 1904, and from 1906 also in the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment No. 32" (see Hilbert).
