Polychrome painting. 14 x 10.5 cm, in a black, florally carved frame (24 x 20 cm).
Rectangular panel with the portrait of Ninon of Lenclos (1620-1705) with pearl necklace and floral decoration in her hair, after an engraving by Antoine-Jean-Baptiste Coupé (1784 - ca. 1852). Small chips to the frame.
Ninon of Lenclos: French courtesan and salonnière. She is considered one of the most outstanding women of the 17th century in France.
