Inventory no. "SM 1679" and "K74" or "SM 1663 b". 19th century / around 1900.
Punched sheet brass, oak wood, copper and brass / Sheet brass and cast brass. H box 21 cm (without handle).
Pipe holder with wooden base decorated on all sides in baroque style with tendrils and tavern scene; rocaille decoration with symbols on the hinged lid with hole and knob. Carrying handle on copper attachments. / 2 wax stick holders with 3 feet on the bowl and clamping scissors on the stick shaft. Solder marks on one wax stick holder, clamping spring missing on the other.
Provenance : From Thuringian aristocratic property. Restitution item with inventory number of the Altenburg Residential Palace, formerly part of the von der Gabelentz family collection at Poschwitz Castle.
