Abstract composition. Verso with stamp "Feininger Estate" including "G W No. [...]"; handwritten "TR 11715/114" and "C78-24" as well as "1938"; traces of glue in upper margin.
German-American painter, illustrator and graphic artist. He is one of the most important artists of the first half of the 20th century in Germany and was the first master to be appointed by Walter Gropius to the newly founded Bauhaus in Weimar in 1919. He is still considered one of its most important representatives today.
