Simple casket with engraved eagle, signature of Annemarie Renger and addition "President of the German Bundestag". Inside lined with wood. Lid dented, slight signs of wear.
Annemarie Renger was the first woman and also the first Social Democrat to head the German Bundestag from 1972 to 1976. She belonged to the conservative wing of the SPD and was probably the best-known politician in the Bonn Republic in the 1970s.
