Pendant ivory reliefs with hunting motifs.

African ivory, ebonized wood. 5 x 18.5 and 5 x 18 cm respectively, frame 13.5 x 27 cm each. 492 and 270 g (with frame).
Finely carved Renaissance-style scenes of a stag hunt and the return home from the hunt with wild boar and feathered game. The courtly hunting parties consist of ladies and gentlemen on horseback as well as numerous foot soldiers with dogs. Each in a profiled wooden frame. Each somewhat soiled, frame partly open glue joints with traces of glue.
