If Wilhelm Trübner, then: German painter, studied at the Karlsruhe art school under Schick and Gude, strongly influenced by F. Diez and Canon, pupil of Alex. Wagner and W. Dietz at the Munich academy. Teacher at the Städelsches Institut Frankfurt, teacher/director at the Kunstschule Karlsruhe.
