Height: 14 cm.
Model year: 1753. Painted in color, painted gold. From the "Monkey Chapel" series of 21 figures and music stand. Unglazed base, sword mark on the plinth. Slips partially restored, thumb, two toes, knob of the hurdy-gurdy.
Kaendler: court sculptor and modeller, at the manufactory from 1731, head of the sculpture department from 1749, an ingenious creator of the European porcelain figure. Meissen manufactory price: 3290,- Euro * Partner auction Bergmann.
