Model by Alexander Schaffner (goldsmith in Basel), model year: 1964, cutlery pattern no. 89. 79 pieces: 11 knives, 11 forks, 11 tablespoons, 10 dinner knives, 10 dinner spoons, 11 cake forks, 9 coffee spoons, 6 ice cream spoons. Design classic, solid quality work, knives with original stainless steel blades. Hallmarks: Crescent and crown, fineness, factory mark.
The cutlery manufactory was founded by Carl Hugo Pott in 1904 as a damascening workshop in Solingen. After his son Carl Pott joined the company in 1932, it developed into a major manufacturer of cutlery. In 1985, his son Hannspeter Pott took over the business. Pott's "Historical Models" will continue to be produced once a year by pre-order * Partner auction Bergmann.
