Model by Hermann Gretsch (1895-1950), completed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld after his death. Cutlery pattern no. 83. 138 pieces: 12 knives, 12 forks, 12 tablespoons, 12 dinner knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 dinner spoons, 10 fruit knives, 16 cake forks, 12 coffee spoons, 10 dessert spoons, 6 mocha spoons, 1 sugar tongs, 2 pie servers, 1 cake server, 1 sauce ladle, 2 different serving spoons, 3 meat forks, 1 butter knife, 1 cheese knife. Design classic, massive high-quality work, engraved and relief monograms F, LM, some pieces without monogram. Knives with original stainless steel blades. Hallmarks: Crescent and crown, fineness, factory mark.
The cutlery manufactory was founded by Carl Hugo Pott in 1904 as a damascening workshop in Solingen. After his son Carl Pott joined the company in 1932, it developed into a major manufacturer of cutlery. In 1985, his son Hannspeter Pott took over the business. Pott's "Historical Models" will continue to be produced once a year by pre-order * Partner auction Bergmann.
