Shirvan region, Azerbaijan. Dated "1940" among others.
Wool, hand-knotted. Polychrome decoration with dominant violet-red, pink, yellow and green, with abrasion. Approx. 207 x 123 cm.
3 large octagonal medallions on an open central field with scattered flowers and rectangular ornaments. Three-row border with segmented, octagonal finials and borders decorated with wavy bands.
