1st half of the 20th century Shirvan, Azerbaijan.
Wool, hand-knotted. Polychrome decoration in predominantly blue, red, white, yellow and green. Approx. 126 x 79.5 cm.
Octagonal, red medallion with a large blossom, accompanied by 2 large blue blossoms on a midnight blue ground with stylized scattered flower decoration. Triple-row border with trailing flowers and a hooked band. Signs of age and wear, stained, partially slightly worn pile, faded coloration, defective narrow edging.
