Light body, matt glaze in shades of brown, partly colored. H 28.5 cm.

Bust of a girl looking to the right with flowing hair and a branch of leaves on her bare chest, made in the style of the Goldscheider Art Nouveau figures, on a natural base. Partially slight glaze rubbing.

The French manufactory Alphonse Hanne (L'Isle d'Adam) was one of Goldscheider's biggest competitors, particularly with regard to the production of orientalizing busts and figures. The manufactory won a number of prizes at exhibitions and had a branch in Paris, among other places. Busts and figures by Hanne are often confused with Goldscheider, as the models are often unmarked and are very similar in theme and execution to those by Goldscheider.
