Anita Berber (1899-1928) was a famous German dancer, actress and author who was considered an icon of Berlin nightlife in the 1920s. She was known for her nude, scandalous dances and her excessive drug and alcohol consumption. As the embodiment of the "femme fatale" of the Weimar Republic, she died of tuberculosis at the age of 29.
