Embossed mark GS Z 2 with the addition "Reproduction Reservée", GS Z 11 ca. 1885-1922. Signed "Cherc" verso on the base. Model no. 2253 201 33. design: around 1899/1900.
Light body, bronze-colored matt glaze in shades of brown, decorated with gold. H 40 cm.
Antique-style female bust of a graceful ruler with helmet. Partially slightly rubbed.
Theodora (c. 500-548 in Constantinople) was one of the most influential women of late antiquity and the wife of the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian. She came from a background of prostitution and campaigned for women's rights.
