* Noster, court portrait painter, genre painter, studied at the academies in Berlin and Düsseldorf, pupil of Paul Thumann and Otto Knille, 1885 studio in the Berlin imperial palace. Regularly represented at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and the Berlin Academy Exhibition from 1886, titular professor in 1907, painted many portraits of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
