Small figurine table lamp: Hebe.
Bronze, dark patinated. Height: 26 cm. 1.5 kg.
After a model by Gustav Gurschner (1873 - 1971 Vienna). Old electrified, one light source. Hebe is the Greek goddess of youth, daughter of Zeus and Hera, wife of Heracles, cupbearer of the gods, she symbolizes eternal life and vitality.
* Gurschner, sculptor, medallist, craftsman, studied at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna, artistic director of the Kunst-Erzgießerei in Vienna for four years, co-founder of the Vienna Secession (a model of the lamp signed by Gurschner was auctioned in May 2000).
