Large figure of a standing woman
Marble. inscribed "A. Cyprien". H 65 cm. 20,25 kg.
An antique-style balustrade with a half-clothed young woman leaning against it stands on a square plinth. She wears a long robe around her hips and is adorned with a bracelet and a tiara. Slight signs of age and wear, minor chipping.
If it should be Adolfo Cipriani, then: Italian sculptor (1857 Florence - 1941 ibid.), he created numerous statues, busts and groups of figures mostly with portraits of women and children in Art Nouveau style, often including portraits and allegorical figures in marble or alabaster.
