Terracotta, reddish-orange. inscribed "Delaroche", illegible circle mark with mark "179". H 65.5 cm. 10 kg.
A seated woman on a round plinth, covering her lap with a cloth and holding her left arm cautiously in front of her chest. Possibly a work after Paul Delaroche (1797 Paris - 1856 ibid.), he was a French history painter of academic realism. Signs of age and wear, a few hairline cracks.
