A work published many years after the death of the author, who was known as an architect. A history of warfare from 1559 to 1622. The plates depict various cityscapes and battle scenes, such as those of Pilsen, Bautzen, and the Battle of White Mountain near Prague. According to the preface, only 200 copies were printed; a planned second volume was never published. Pages glued at the margins, closely trimmed; pp. 73/74 and 117/118 are missing. Signs of age and wear.
Johann Friedrich Nilsson Eosander, Baron Göthe since 1713, known as Eosander von Göthe (* ≈ August 23, 1669, in Stralsund; † May 22, 1728, in Dresden) was a German-Swedish Baroque architect and officer. His major works include the expansion of the Berlin Palace and Charlottenburg Palace, the construction of Monbijou Palace and Übigau Palace, and the design of the Amber Room.
