Princess Margaret, 1930-2002, daughter of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mum). Soft porcelain with glossy glaze. Relief gold decoration on all sides, painted with translucent red-green enamel. Silver mount with two indistinct miniature hallmarks. Hinged lid with curved thumb grip. Partially small flaws, chipping.
With sealed "Certificate of Provenance Kensington Palace Property from the Collection of Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret Countess of Snowdon 14 June 2006", Christie's London, in brown leather portfolio with gold embossing.
