On all exterior surfaces and lid very fine purple camaieum painting with seven different scenes "Playing cupids in landscape" in the manner of Francois Boucher (1703-1770) over rocaille consoles with flowering branches. Remaining gilded silver mount with hinge. Without mark. Lid restored.
