Minutiously painted genre scene. Glazed gilt stucco frame.
Pauquet, painter, draftsman, watercolorist, graphic artist, illustrator. Son and pupil of Louis, brother of Polydor. Studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. 1821-1849 represented at the Salon * Partner auction Bergmann.
Literature : Thieme-Becker (1907-1950), Benezit (2006).
