| Supplement 02.03.2023: The medallion is not a portrait of Carl Alexander. This was not made by Friedrich Remde. It is a portrait of Julius Elkan from the year 1803/05. Slight signs of age.
German portrait, genre and landscape painter, after working in Dresden, Vienna, London and Hamburg as court painter in Weimar.
