Biedermeier upholstered sofa and footstool.
Circa 1840.
Cherry, veneered, partly ebonized. Sofa 95 x 185 x 67 cm, footstool 31.5 x 64.5 x 28.5 cm.
Curved backrest and slightly flared side rests with end volutes, profiled frame and flared feet. Footrest with round bars on the curved sides. Each upholstered more recently and with added jacquard striped fabric cover. Fully restored with minimal repairs.
