Late Tempire pendulum with Venus and Cupid.
France. 1st half 19th century
Unmarked movement with half-hour strike on bell, pendulum with thread suspension. Running, overhaul recommended. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, minute ring and added hands.
Bronze. H 42.5 cm. 7.3 kg.
Stepped base with rich neoclassical appliqué decoration, crowned by an antique-style female figure, a large rose blossom with a small putto and a column with a flower-decorated handle amphora. Signs of age, dial with defects, rose petal appliqués loosened.
