Baroque Thuringian faience jug with pilaster decoration.
Well Dorotheenthal. 2nd half 18th century
White glaze, colored hot-fire painting. H 25.5 cm.
Cylindrical body with a ribbon handle decorated with lines, 3 baroque reserves with flower painting on the wall, flanked by yellow pilasters. Pewter lid with ball finial and indistinct relief medallion, engraved and dated "C.L.T. 1792", pewter stand. Fine crack in the mouth area, partial defects to the glaze, rubbing.
