Very large historicism coin jug.
1891.
Blackened metal (pewter/zinc?), copper electroplating. H 54 cm.
Stepped foot partly decorated in relief, copper wall with numerous coin images in relief on all sides; in the center in a laurel wreath the imperial eagle with Hohenzollern coat of arms on the chest. Embroidered dedication dated 1891 on the lip rim. Stepped hinged lid with the pusher in the shape of the imperial orb in an eagle's claw and handle in relief. Solder repairs to the foot, handle and pusher.
