Scene in front of a church in the snow, a priest and his altar boy leave the church gate, a few steps in front of them a man in a black winter coat and a mastiff, in the background two women with headscarves looking through the fence into the church garden.
Felixmüller was considered a musical prodigy and studied at the Dresden Conservatory at the age of 12, but decided to study at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts at the age of 15. Felixmüller taught himself printmaking techniques such as woodcuts. During the Nazi era, his works were considered "degenerate art".
