Decoration with playing card motifs. Indistinct bottom marks of the Ruppelwerke Gotha. Signs of use, partially rubbed.

Brandt: Born Liebe, designer, painter, photographer. Studied at the academy in Weimar. 1923-1928 at the Bauhaus in Weimar, from 1927 in the metal workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau, 1929-1933 worked as a designer at the Ruppelwerk metal goods factory in Gotha, 1949-1954 taught in Dresden and Berlin.
