The cutlery manufactory was founded by Carl Hugo Pott in 1904 as a damascening workshop in Solingen. After his son Carl Pott joined the company in 1932, it developed into a major manufacturer of cutlery. In 1985, his son Hannspeter Pott took over the business * Partnerauktion Bergmann.
