Model by Hermann Gretsch 1948, model no. 81. 110 pieces: 12 knives, 12 forks, 16 tablespoons, 16 dinner knives, 16 dinner forks, 12 dinner spoons, 12 fish forks, 1 fish serving knife, 1 lifter, 2 sauce ladles, 2 serving forks, 4 large serving spoons, set of 4 small serving spoons. Classic design, solid, high-quality workmanship. Knives with Solingen stainless steel blades. Hallmarks: Crescent and crown, fineness, factory mark.
The cutlery manufactory was founded by Carl Hugo Pott in 1904 as a damascening workshop in Solingen. After his son Carl Pott joined the company in 1932, it developed into a major manufacturer of cutlery. In 1985, his son Hannspeter Pott took over the business. Pott's "Historical Models" will continue to be produced once a year by pre-order * Partner auction Bergmann.
