1st half 20th century Northeast Iran.
Wool, hand-knotted. Monochrome decoration in red, brown, midnight blue, white and violet-red. Approx. 197 x 141 cm.
So-called "Persian Turkmen" with an open central field with 9 x 3 large tekke güls and accompanying motifs. Border with Turkmen lozenge and hook design. Signs of age and wear, some defects, restored with additions, replaced narrow side mountings partially loose.
