4-piece Art Nouveau coffee and tea service. Metallwarenfabrik Gerhardi & Co, Lüdenscheid.
Pewter, polished. Height: 10.5-24 cm.
Design by Paul Haustein, model year: 1904-1905, model no. 1817. Coffee pot, teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl. Conical shape with angular handles, all-round ornamental relief, pots with hinged lids, three base marks. One handle with dents, one hinge restored.
* Haustein (1180-1944), designer, applied artist, studied at the schools of applied arts in Dresden and Munich and at the academy in Munich. 1903 appointed to the Darmstadt artists' colony, 1906-1944 professor at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Stuttgart, represented at numerous exhibitions.
